Ieuan is one of the ‘old-guard’. A Team Thie athlete for over 10 years, Ieuan joined the training group shortly after it’s inception. He has been at the forefront of Welsh distance running since his junior years, first winning the Cross Challenge Series as an under 17 back in 2005.

Whilst attending Cardiff Metropolitan University Ieuan moved under the tutelage of James Thie, transferring to Cardiff AAC and winning a medal at the British Universities Indoor Championships over 1500m whilst also gaining his degree in Sport Development. Following his time at Cardiff Met Ieuan headed stateside after being awarded a full scholarship to attend DII University Western State, who were the reigning DII National X-C Champions. Whilst at Western Ieuan developed his talent for the Steeplechase, drastically reducing his personal best and becoming a 2 time All-American.

A proud Welshman, Ieuan has represented his country more than 50 times, including a 7th place finish at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Despite holding down a full-time job with SPORTTAPE. He is a 4-time British Championship medallist over the Steeplechase and has won Welsh Senior titles at every distance from 1500m to Half Marathon.

He gained his first GB vest in 2017, running the Steeplechase at the London World Championships. He followed this in 2018, representing GB once again at the European Championships. His focus is now solely on making the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
