Sam Goodchild is long distance athlete from Cornwall which is where he was first introduced to the sport after being persuaded by older generation athletes at his club to pursue the sport further. Although Sam’s running career is fairly short compared to others in group, he has already achieved a fair amount of success after representing his county, region and country in a variety of different events on all surfaces. An England debut came for the Cornwall AC man in 2019 after being selected to represent his nation at the Oderzo Citta Archeologica 10k in Italy where he finished 15th in a time of 32:54. The Cardiff Met student-athlete’s strength comes in the longer distances with the 5k and 10k being his primary events which he hopes to make a statement on in the near future.
