Stephen Mitchell was raised in Northern England and runs for Bristol & West AC. He works as a science teacher in Cardiff.

He has represented both England and Great Britain and his personal highlights include winning the British University Indoor 3000m and Outdoor 5000m in 2014. Previous to this, he finished 4th in the UK Champs 1500m in 2011 (and recently matched this in 2015 indoors), was English 1500m champion in 2012, and ran the fastest short leg at the English National 12 stage Road Relays in 2013.

Look out for Steve over the barriers this summer as he tries out the 3000m SC.
